Proofreading consists of reviewing spelling, grammar, typography (capitalization, punctuation, typographical errors), style and syntax (structure of phrases). This step is also completed by a second linguist to catch any errors that the translator may not see after working so closely with their own text. Contrary to revision, proofreading focuses only on the target text, which isn’t compared to the source. And, it is only completed on the final text. Any revisions must be done before this final proofreading step.

Our Revision and Proofreading Services

We offer revision and proofreading services on translations we have completed, as well as content translated or written by others. The level of revision and/or proofreading you need will primarily depend on how important your final documents are and how they will be used. For example, a document to be printed must not contain even a single error. Once printed, it will be too late!
